FAQ’s & Testimonials

Though many of my clients find me when they are in need of logo design, here’s a non-exhaustive list of all the deliverables I can help you with:
Logo design and visual identity (not just a logo design, but a visual brand system. Think of a brand guide including a color palette, font kit, usage guidelines, imagery suggestions, etc.)
Print design and page layout projects, such as flyers, post cards, rack cards, media kits and price lists, business cards, pamphlets and brochures, booklets and guides, and other custom files.
Digital designs such as social media graphics, slide decks, podcast graphics, social media profile images, digital PDFs, website graphics, infographics, and banner ads.
Event graphics such as x-banners, tradeshow booths, table signs, posters, invitations, and other branded decor

This is dependent on the specifics of the project, but usually every process starts with a kickoff Zoom or phone call to go through all of the details. No matter what the project entails, we’ll be in communication throughout the whole process.
For more involved projects such as logo designs and Squarespace websites, I typically go through a discovery phase where I ask questions to fully understand your design needs, who your audience is, and who your competitors are. From there, we’ll move on to concepting, refinements, and feedback until a final product we are both proud of is reached.

Logo design and Squarespace website projects can take anywhere from 6-12 weeks. It’s difficult to assess the timeline for smaller projects, but whenever I send an estimate and proposal to a client I also include a proposed timeline, so we are in agreement before we kick the project off.

Absolutely! I get lots of clients that approach me because their current logo, designs, or website doesn’t align with the growth of their business or organization. Whether it’s a revamped logo and visual brand, a more user-friendly website, or a new set of Canva templates, I’m happy to chat about all of your goals and dreams.
-
Yes! You own the final assets of your project(s) once full payment has been received. I can provide all file types and variations needed. All unused working files remain my property.
-
Yes! If ongoing design help is something you’re interested in, let’s chat. I offer a discounted rate for retainer clients that work with me on a weekly or monthly basis. Depending on my availability, I offer 5 hour, 10 hour, 15 hour, and 20 hour a month retainer options.
If retainer work isn’t in the budget, it’s all good — we can always work project to project! Many of my clients come back to work with me year after year (and I LOVE that!)

I design Squarespace websites, so by nature they are templated. However, I use plugins, custom code, and my own creativity to customize each website I work on. Like any design project, the most important consideration is always that it resonates with your audience, is user-friendly, says everything you need it to say, and is beautifully branded.
Every Squarespace website I design is designed with you in mind as well — meaning, it’ll be optimized for ease of use. While I am happy to help with future updates, I understand the importance of needing a website that has simple functionality that even the biggest technophobe can navigate.

Totally! I love working on event-projects. To achieve the best results, I suggest that clients reach out to me months in advance to prep — especially if you’re looking to print large-format designs such as a trade show booth or banners that take time to design, print, and ship. We can tackle digital deliverables closer to the event and once the printed materials are sent to the printer (I can hook you up with an awesome printer too!) Got an upcoming event happening this year? Let’s chat!

I am well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) but I also consider myself a Canva expert. While I love (live and breathe) the Adobe Creative Suite, I often suggest using Canva for clients who want a certain level of control over their final products.
I don’t typically take on projects that use Microsoft Word or PowerPoint as I don’t have formal training and don’t love the platforms’ design limitations.
-
Nope. Though I understand why it’s useful for many individuals, it’s not for me. I could write a novel about the reasons why, but I think the simplest way to explain it is to say that I don’t think there is any design that AI could do better, more creatively, or more effectively over a human being. Not to mention that it’s a massive drain on our Earth’s resources, a means of making billionaires more rich, and devaluing human time and effort in the process.

Graphic design is important in so many ways, where to even begin! When incorporated by a professional designer, it can make complex concepts simpler to digest, express brand values and identity clearly to your customers, attract your target audience, communicate effectively and efficiently, improve user experience, and establish an emotional connection to the people who support your mission.

There’s always a time and place for DIY — as a small-business owner myself, I know that budgets can be tight, delegating is hard, and no one knows your brand like you do. However, just because the tools to do it yourself exist, doesn’t mean that you must! When you get too busy, too frustrated, or too confused — let’s chat. I can take the stress off of your plate so that you have the time and energy to focus on doing what you truly love doing.

When I have the bandwidth, I’m happy to work within your budget. Though it may realistically compromise with the amount of deliverables or the amount of hours I am able to dedicate to your project, I’m happy to discuss options.
I also offer a 15% off discount for non-profits.

I tend to work with service-based small business owners, but I do have larger corporate clients on my roster as well. I’m not a designer who prefers to work within a niche — I enjoy working within many different clients, in lots of different industries, that require different kinds of deliverables. I love that every day is different!
